Sonam ditches three awards functions to take mom Sunita to London for her 60th birthday

Sonam Kapoor is a treat for the paparazzi at red-carpet events. Despite looking at a praise-packed awards season this time, thanks to her acclaimed film Neerja (2016), the actress will give three awards functions a miss. Sonam is set to fly to London with mom Sunita, who will ring in her 60th birthday on March 25.

A source says Sonam and her siblings, producer Rhea Kapoor and actor Harshvardhan Kapoor, have elaborate plans for Sunita's special day. While Anil Kapoor and Harsh are already in London, Sonam and Rhea will travel to the British capital on March 21.
"Sonam is far from upset about missing her shot at the gongs and is, in fact, looking forward to her fortnight-long family vacation," adds the source.
