Phelps posted the above poster on Twitter with the message: "All of this talk ... should we race as well?? @TheNotoriousMMA." Though the Irish fighter has not yet responded to Phelps' invitation, the fact that the Olympic champion's post was re-tweeted over 48,000 times shows that fans are kicked about the idea.

Phelps is obviously just kidding, but we're not too sure if the aggressive McGregor will take it that way!
