Taylor Swift has joined a growing list of celebrities who are donating money to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. According to the Houston Food Bank, the entertainer, 27, donated an unknown, but sizeable amount to aid victims of the devastating storm, which has claimed at least 44 lives.

The storm caused flooding that damaged thousands of homes in the Houston area and driven scores of people to shelters.
"Taylor Swift has generously made a donation to Houston Food Bank in honour of her mother who graduated from the University of Houston," a group from the Houston Food Bank posted on Facebook, adding, "We thank you, Taylor, and we thank everyone for donating to help rebuild our community. #houstonstrong."
The list of other celebrities who have donated large sums to help the victims includes Sandra Bullock ($1 million), Leonardo DiCaprio ($1 million), Kim Kardashian and her family ($500,000) and Miley Cyrus ($500,000).
