This year I am supporting a cause of "cracker-free diwali" and I am also promoting an NGO which is selling diyas and other decorations. The NGO supports women education. I would request people not to waste money on crackers and instead light up someone's life. Our family is not into gifts for occasions. God has been very kind to us in blessing us with more than what we need. As a family we will support education of five more girls till college.

It should be eco-friendly and noise free Diwali. It becomes difficult to breathe after Diwali. The festival is all about life, light, happiness and triumph of the good. Sunayna Fozdar: Diwali is all about lightning, candles, decorating house, welcoming Lakshmi into our homes, sweets and gifting each other. Not just animals, birds and elderly people suffers lot of other people also get affected. We all should support a noise free, peaceful and safe Diwali. I barely know how to play cards. But I meet friends, decorate the house with diyas and make rangoli.

Akhlaque Khan - I support noise free Diwali. The crackers don't just cause noise pollution but also cause immense amount of air and pollution. I personally clean my house for Diwali. I probably have a small Diwali party at my house. I like to have cosy celebrations.

Jaswir Kaur: I agree with the problem old people and animals go through.I request people to have safe and happy Diwali without troubling others. I have two dogs at my home and because of crackers I sit holding them. During Diwali I really like to be at home, love to eat sweets, meeting people and decorate home with lights.

Ridhima Tiwari: I feel that crackers cause noise pollution and pollutes our environment. Even animals and old people are getting affected. But it's also true that for kids Diwali is incomplete without crackers. I wish there were more crackers with lights than sound. Diwali cleaning is must all of should do that. My Diwali plan includes buying a lot of gifts for my loved ones. I buy new things for my house. I get new clothes for the Lakshmi and Ganesha idols. I make rangoli and light up every corner of my house.

Amit Tandon

I support noise free Diwali. Mumbai suffers from pollution and noise so I think both should be limited. I do play cards, enjoy food and good music. I go for shopping to buy new things for my family and my house.

Rishina Kandhari: I do believe in noise free Diwali as it disturbs everyone right from animals to the old people. The smoke from the crackers invites health hazards. So please enjoy your festival noise free. Everyone feels like celebrating Diwali and has a right to celebrate it even a beggar on the road. So I donate some percent of my own earning.

Adaa Khan: Diwali is a festival of lights and not noise. I believe in noise free Diwali because animals, old people and people who have heart problems they suffer a lot in Diwali. I request people to have a noise free Diwali. I do cleaning before any festival because it is a must to clean our house. I don't know how to play cards but I go for card parties. I am going to celebrate Diwali with my friends and seniors.

Sudeep Sahir
Sudeep Sahir:
I do agree with the idea of noise free Diwali. Apart from it being a nuisance for elderly, babies and dogs the smoke really takes a toll on the air we breathe. I know crackers are a part of Diwali festivities but we can celebrate the same with diyas and mild crackers like phuljhadi and anar. Diwali is that time of the year when I forget all about my diet. I eat sweets and visit my family and friends. I will be doing puja. I will invite my friends for dinner. I have already started shopping and cleaning of the house. I love playing cards but I won't be able to play much this time as I am shooting.

Himanshu Soni: I strongly want to have noise free Diwali or smart Diwali which will be using these lights more carefully. I will be doing puja with my family on Diwali night.

Saurabh Pandey: I stopped burning crackers and understood that burning crackers is eventually burning hard earned money. If you wish to see there are plenty of fireworks already in sky to watch. I only love doing puja to maa Lakshmi and light diyas. I believe that Diwali is a festival of happiness when lord Ram came back to Ayodhya,he brought back the long lost light. Traditionally, one should do puja and light diyas only. So many people who are not well during diwali suffer badly from noise. I have a Dog who gets so scared that he hides behind my sofa. I love monopoly and so do my friends. We play monopoly instead of cards. It's so much fun especially when you play with the real money...

Last year I bought some gold as markets were on a high and it was the best to time invest. May Goddess Laxmi's blessings be always there with me and my dear ones. She has blessed me in abundance and please continue doing so.

Himmanshoo Ashok Malhotra: We should have noise-free Diwali. Some people get burnt by it too. Instead of spending money on crackers, we should spend that on beggars and other needy people for food. I have never gambled in my life. I will be in Argentina. Amruta will be here and my mom will be in Delhi so we all will be in different part of the world.

Mohit Malik: This Diwali I am going to burst crackers and would wake everyone at midnight. All the family members sit for puja. It has to be a pollution-free. But I do a bit of fun. I would love to do it in Delhi when I go back. I do not burn crackers when I am in Mumbai,I rather enjoy with candles and diyas. Mumbai is already very polluted and crackers are expensive. I enjoy when people come over and gift each other. Have a good time and enjoy yourself. Cleaning have already started. I am home and too tired after Jhalak so I am cleaning my house. This year I will go to Delhi to spend time with my family. We play cards. We visit other friends places and they visit us. That's what Diwali is all about.
