Opera tales
Catch a screening of the opera Der Rosenkavalier by R Strauss, which features four main characters — the aristocratic Marschallin, her very young lover Count Octavian Rofrano, her coarse cousin Baron Ochs and Ochs's prospective fiancée Sophie von Faninal, the daughter of a rich bourgeois. Although a comedy, Der Rosenkavalier operates at a deeper level.

Head to a Hang (pronounced 'hung') musical performance with Canada's leading tabla fusion artiste Gurpreet Chana (in pic), who will be presenting diverse compositions, including Indian Classical, Hip-Hop, Dance and Ghazals. The Hang is an instrument that blends steel drum acoustics with the hollow bass of the South Indian Ghatham and African Udu drum.
