'Padman' directed by R. Balki, is based on the real life of Tamil Nadu social activist, Arunachalam Muruganantham who revolutionised the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine. Twinkle Khanna, in a previous interview said that they have taken certain artistic liberties to make the film more entertaining. Whilst, they want to send across a powerful message, they want to entertain the audiences as well and make the film an interesting watch. The film stars also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor and  releases on April 13.
