The mighty veejayjay is inspiring artists everywhere. We picked a few you should follow on Instagram to admire the lovely lady bits better

An ode to the yoni

Arunima Bose
@aru_illustrates
The 28-year-old illustrator was initially apprehensive about putting out her work, but eventually decided otherwise. "Some men treat Instagram like Tinder and send me messages, which I never read. Some men also ask me why I don't draw penises. I don't, because it's not the penis but the vagina that needs to be talked about," says Bose. The Delhi girl who has worked as a gender and sexuality trainer quit her job two years ago to pursue art full time. She uses ink on paper, and 3D mediums to draw vaginas, and says that most times drawing the vagina is all about the mood she is in. "Many women say they relate to my work, and many still say they don't want to get up and see a vagina on their Instagram. I am happy they are disgusted, because it prompts discussion, and that's what all this is about."

Stephanie Sarley
@stephanie_sarley
Stephanie Sarley is an Instagram legend. She fingers citrus fruits, much like someone would finger a vagina. It's intriguing and hypnotising to watch, and quite liberating. If you are going to be judgmental about it, you need to adjust your attitude.

Hilde Atalanta
@the.vulva.gallery
At first glance, the images on The Vulva Gallery may seem disconcerting. This is not really pretty, but it's completely raw and reflects diversity. We loved it because it illustrates how each vagina has a character unique to itself. Girls, you will want to name yours once you see these vulvas.

Sarah Naqvi
@naqvi_art
Textile artist Sarah Naqvi uses delicate and beautiful fabrics to adorn her vaginas. We love the detailing. As Naqvi says, "It's about starting a dialogue, whether it provokes or pleases. As long as it does that, it has made an impact.
