Vidya Balan was in Chennai recently to extend support to the silk industry. An advocate of traditional handlooms, she was roped in to inaugurate the annual silk expo this year.

Vids has always voiced her concerns about the weavers and has done her bit to extend a helping hand to them in their endeavours. The actor has a huge collection of sarees, but she was happy to splurge on some more six-yards which took her fancy.
