Sanjay Leela Bhansali had announced Padmavati's release date as November 17, 2017 as soon as the shoot began last year.

The historical will now release on December 1. The Vidya Balan-starrer Tumhari Sulu was to release on December 1, but was recently brought forward to November 24. Was it to make way for Padmavati?
