Actor-comedian Vir Das to take his Netflix special, Abroad Understanding, across the border as part of his world tour

Earlier this year, Vir Das became the first Indian to have his own Netflix special, Abroad Understanding. After garnering a positive response from fans in India as well as overseas, the actor-comedian decided to perform the show live across six cities in India. Now, he wants to connect with fans across the border.

His admirers in Pakistan apparently want him to put up a show in their country, and the comedian's team is working towards that. If all goes right, Vir will perform across the border as part of his ongoing world tour.
Sources say he is currently scripting the act, keeping in mind the sensibilities of the Pakistani audience. The show is likely to take place in Lahore and Karachi. However, owing to strained diplomatic relations between India and Pakistan, a confirmation is yet to arrive.
Without divulging details, Vir says, "My Netflix special talks about putting differences aside and extending friendship with each other. A live show [in Pakistan] would be an apt manifestation of that."
