WWE Raw after Payback saw Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and The Miz battle for the Intercontinental title in the main event.

Dean Ambrose is the current Intercontinental champion.
After a long showdown in WWE Raw, Finn Balor looked like he was on his way to earn the number one contender spot. But Bray Wyatt interrupted the match and attacked Balor.
Samoa Joe on the other hand, attacked Seth Rollins who defeated him at WWE Payback. This gave The Miz the advantage as he managed to pinn Finn Balor and become the number one contender for the IC championship.
Alexa Bliss, who became the new WWE Raw women's champion after her victory over Bayley at WWE Payback, had a coronation ceremony held in her name.
The WWE female superstars then participated in an eight-woman tag team match with Bayley, Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke and Mickie James facing Alexa Bliss, Emma, Alicia Fox and Nia Jax. The latter team went on to win the match.
