WWE Raw after WrestleMania 33 saw Kurt Angle in a new role, Finn Balor making a comeback and Hardy Boyz back on the roster as the new tag team champions.
WWE Raw began with Roman Reigns entering to major boos from the WWE Universe after he defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33. Roman Reigns still claimed that the WWE is his yard.
The Hardy Boyz defende their Raw tag team champions against Gallows and Anderson and managed to pick up the win. Meanwhile Cesaro and Sheamus faced Enzo Amore and Big Cass for the number one contender for the tag team titles. Cesaro and Sheamus scored the win.
WWE chairman Vince McMahon made a return and stated that after Stephanie McMahon was injured during Triple H's match against Seth Rollins, Raw will now have a new general manager. Vince McMahon then appointed WWE Hall of Fame 2017 inductee and former WWE superstar Kurt Angle as the new General Manager of Raw.
NXT former tag team champions debuted on WWE Raw and defeated The New Day in their first match. Cruiserweight champion Neville defeated Mustafa Ali in their match.
Bayley, Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke faced Charlotte, Nia Jax and Emma in a match. Sasha Banks hit the Bank Statement on Charlotte for the win.
Brock Lesnar, after defeating Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 for the WWE Universal title, wanted new challenges, and his manager pointed out to Roman Reigns. Braun Strowman then came out and issued a challenge to Brock Lesnar.

Chris Jericho was to partner with Seth Rollins in tag team match against Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens, but was attacked by his opponents prior to the match. New GM of Raw Kurt Angle then told Seth Rollins that he would have a new partner. Finn Balor, then marked his return to WWE since Summerslam last year after he relinquished his title due to an injury. Finn Balor dominated and picked up the win for his team.
