The Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD), an organisation based in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala, released a report revealing Chinese authorities' surveillance of exiled Tibetans to collect personal information. TCHRD Spokesperson Tenzin Dawa on February 18 claimed that the Chinese Communist Party targeted the Tibetan diaspora using family members back inside Tibet to control.

Jayant Patil denies IL&FS scam involvement, says no money transferred

Maharashtra NCP President Jayant Patil held a press conference in Mumbai on May 22 after he was called by ED for questioning in the alleged IL and FS scam. While addressing the press meeting he said that he has no connection with IL and FS scam and that he is ready to go anywhere for questioning by ED. Speaking further, he said that he has not taken any money from anyone and that no money was transferred to his account."I have answered all the questions asked by ED officials. I have no connection with IL&FS. No money came into my account and I have not taken money from anyone. I will go whenever they (ED) call me again. All the allegations are false," said Jayant Patil.

The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has unanimously decided to leave the selection of the new Karnataka Chief Minister to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Congress’ National Spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala said, “Two resolutions were passed in the CLP meeting today. One resolution was presented by DK Shivakumar thanking Karnataka people and other Congress leaders for their support in the stellar performance in Karnataka Assembly elections. The other was presented by Siddaramaiah which asked the CLP to leave the selection of the new Karnataka Chief Minister to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge which was endorsed by everybody.”
