Pappu Yadav takes swipe at BJP after merging his party with Congress

Pappu’s Yadav merged his Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) with Congress on March 20 ahead of Lok Sabha elections 2024. The Jan Adhikar Party president lauded Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi while addressing a press conference in Delhi. He further slammed Bharatiya Janata Party and terming it as a party of a ‘dictator’. He went on to say that alongside Congress he’ll work hard for the betterment of Bihar.

PM Modi in Bihar: 'Those who brought Jungle Raj only cared about their family'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 06 launched a scathing attack on RJD in Bihar, saying that when "Jungle Raj" came to the state, migration increased and the future of lakhs of students of the state was put at stake. Addressing a rally here as part of BJP’s preparations for the Lok Sabha polls, PM Modi said it is essential for Bihar to be developed for "Viksit Bharat" and the NDA government in the state has given speed to development works. Referring to the Rashtriya Janata Dal government that ruled Bihar for about 14 years between 1990 and 2005, PM Modi said that "one family prospered" and youth had to go out of state to earn their livelihood. "How lands were grabbed in lieu of jobs. The challenge of outward migration increased during the Jungle Raj, those who brought jungle raj only cared about their family," he said.

Bihar's former CM Lalu Yadav, at the Rashtriya Janta Dal's "Jan Vishwas Rally", targeted both PM Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. Lalu Yadav’s remarks during the Jan Vishwas Rally sparked controversy on March 03. While addressing the rally Lalu Yadav went on to question PM Modi’s religion.He said, “Who is Narendra Modi? He accuses us of doing dynastic politics. What can we do if Modi does not have a family of his own? Why is he childless? He is not even a true Hindu". He further accused PM Modi of promoting hate politics. Despite his ill health, Yadav appeared to be in full form and gave a fiery speech.

Why? The Government wants you to become contractual labourers. They have given the name 'Agniveer' but he is a contractual labourer. That is the truth. They can sack him, throw him out anytime they want, without asking him, without pension or any help.”
