First Drone Shots Of UAE's First BAPS Hindu Temple; PM Modi To Inaugurate In Feb

UAE’s first Hindu temple is in the making in Abu Dhabi. The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir of Abu Dhabi is being built by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Temple on February 14, 2024. The project for the construction of the Temple was launched in 2018. PM Modi unveiled a model of the traditional stone temple as well. The Temple is a reflection of the graciousness of Govt of UAE, which has gifted 17 acres of land to it. The first will act as a catalyst for the flourishment of humanitarian values and harmony between the two nations. In addition to 3.5 million Indians, who have made UAE their second home, every Indian around the world, is eagerly awaiting the completion of the Temple.

Indian envoy stopped from entering Glasgow Gurdwara

Amid row between India and Canada over killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Nijjar, Indian diplomat was heckled in Scotland. Indian High Commissioner to the UK Vikram Doraiswami was prevented from entering a Gurudwara in Glasgow. A video has been doing rounds on social media where a man was seen blocking Doraiswami from entering the Glasgow Gurudwara. Instead of getting into an argument, the Indian High Commissioner decided to leave in his car. The issue has been raised with the UK Foreign Office and also the police, according to sources. Sharply reacting to the incident, Sikh leaders from BJP slammed the pro-Khalistanis and said that anyone can enter a Gurdwara. This is not the first time that an Indian diplomat has faced such misbehavior. Earlier this year as well, Indian diplomats in Canada and UK have been openly threatened. UK High Commission was vandalized by Khalistani radicals in London in March. Notably, UK PM Rishi Sunak during his visit to India for G20 said he won’t tolerate extremism in the country

As per Vancouver Sun, IHIT will work closely with Canada’s spy agency on this case of “targeted murder”. Notably, Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is Canada’s largest homicide unit responsible for suspicious deaths. Nijjar’s lawyer Gurpatwant Singh Pannun told Postmedia that Nijjar was warned about threats on his life earlier.
