Haldwani Violence: 4 dead, over 100 cops injured, security forces on spot

Security has been stepped up in Banbhoolpura area of Uttarakhand’s Haldwani after violence broke out. An anti-encroachment drive was carried out on February 08 after which violence broke out in the area. So far, 4 persons killed, and over 100 policemen sustained injuries in the Haldwani violence. Four companies of paramilitary forces were rushed to the city to maintain the law and order situation. District Magistrate has imposed a curfew in Banbhoolpura and issued shoot-at-sight orders. Many vehicles including cars, motorcycles were set ablaze during the violence on February 08. Internet Services have been suspended and educational institutions have been closed in the district. Uttarakhand Police has also requested the Home Ministry to send additional paramilitary forces. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami urged locals to maintain the law and order in district.

On January 04, an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Kulgam district. In the recent times, several Several terror attacks have been witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir. On Dec 24, terrorists killed a retired police officer in Baramulla during morning prayers. 4 Army jawans were killed while 3 others sustained injuries in J&K Encounter on Dec 21.

Rajouri Encounter: Clash between terrorists and security forces still underway

An encounter is underway between terrorists and security forces in the Bajimaal area of Dharmsal in the Rajouri district on Nov 23. Four Army personnel including two officers & and two jawans have lost their lives in an ongoing Rajouri encounter. According to officials, the exchange of fire broke out between terrorists and a joint team comprising of Army and J&K Police. 16 Corps Commander and Rashtriya Rifles Romeo Force commander are monitoring the operations closely. Meanwhile, security forces are hunting for terrorists to neutralize them. Security personnel are also taking the help of drones to track down terrorists.

Security forces beefed up in Nuh ahead of VHP's 'Braj Mandal Jal Abhishek Yatra'

In response to the VHP’s ‘Braj Mandal Jal Abhishek Yatra’ on August 28, despite the authorities’ refusal to grant permission. Security measures have been put in place in Haryana's Nuh and surrounding areas. Officials have disclosed the deployment of security personnel, including those from paramilitary units, tasked with maintaining vigilant presence. Furthermore, security along inter-state and inter-district borders has been reinforced. VHP on Aug 26 announced that they will bring out a Braj Mandal Jal Abhishek Yatra on Aug 28 in Nuh. Speaking on VHP yatra, CM Khattar said instead of carrying out a people should go to nearby temples and offer prayers.

J&K: Security and para forces intensify operations after Rajouri Attack

In a major jolt to 9 Para SF unit, the Indian Army lost five of its elite commandos during anti-terror operation on May 05. The jawans were killed by IED explosion planted by the terrorists in the mountainous region in Rajouri. Now, the ‘Mountain Rats’ have intensified their operations to avenge the death of the fallen warriors. As per latest report, one terrorist was gunned down by security forces in an encounter in Rajouri district of J&K on May 06. A massive cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the slain terrorist. The recovered materials included one AK56, four magazines of AK, 56 rounds of AK, a 1x9mm Pistol with Magazine, three grenades. To boost morale of the soldiers, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reached Rajouri to take stock of the situation. He was accompanied by Chief of Army Staff Gen Manoj Pande and Northern Command GOC-in_C Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi. The Security Forces have beefed up security across in view of G 20 meeting which is scheduled to take place on May 22-23. Patrolling and checking has been increased across the Union Territory to prevent any possible untoward incident during G20 meet. The NSG and Marine commandos will be deployed to provide security in the valley during the G20 event.

The security forces in J&K have avenged the killing of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma within 48 hours. The terrorist involved in the killing of Sanjay Sharma has been neutralised in an encounter on Feb 28. The encounter took place in Padgampora village of Awantipora tehsil under Pulwama, J&K. The terrorist has been identified as Aqib Mustaq Bhat, who was active in the Pulwama region. Mustaq initially worked for terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen and was currently working for LeT's TRF.

Terror Attacks In J&K, 4 Civilians Killed

As many as four people were killed and six others were injured in a terror attack in Rajouri. The security forces launched an operation to neutralize terrorists who attacked three houses in Dangri area of Jammu and Kashmir, Police said on Monday.  On the other hand, a grenade was hurled targeting a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) vehicle in Srinagar on Sunday night. The incident occurred at MK Chowk in Srinagar. However, the grenade missed the target and caused injury to a local boy. In Rajouri, a firing incident was reported in Dangri area on Sunday. Four people were killed and six injured, police reported. The firing was done by two terrorists at three houses separated at a distance of around 50 metres from each other at upper Dangri village.  Meanwhile, two injured were airlifted to Jammu for further treatment at Government Medical College Hospital."As per the information, two terrorists came and targeted three houses in Upper Dangri area. Four casualties were reported. The search operation is on. Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Army troops have cordoned off the area. We will try to neutralize the two terrorists soon," said Mukesh Singh, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone.  The grenade attack took place near the crowded area of MK Chowk. "There was an attempt to throw a grenade on a CRPF vehicle in a crowded area of MK Chowk, Srinagar. It missed the target and caused a minor splinter injury to one local boy. Operations were launched in the area to nab the culprit," said Srinagar Police.

Four Terrorists Killed After Opening Fire On Security Forces In J&K

At least four terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Sidhra area of Jammu on Wednesday morning. Security forces intercepted a truck in which the terrorists were traveling at about 7:30 am. Confirming the incident, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh said two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area.  ADGP Mukesh Singh said, “Four terrorists have been killed in an encounter in Sidhra area in Jammu. 7 AK-47 rifles, 3 pistols along with other ammunition were recovered. Truck owner is yet to be identified, the truck was going from Jammu to Srinagar. Search still on.”
