Ranbir Kapoor's movie 'Animal' has triggered a huge audience due to its “violent and misogynistic” approach. With Parliament’s winter session underway, the debate over Animal’s influence has made it to the Upper House. Rajya Sabha, Congress MP Ranjeet Ranjan labeled the movie as Bimari (illness) for the society during the Zero Hour of the Rajya Sabha. 'Animal' has already entered Rs 200 crore club in India within just 4 days of its official release. The 3 hour-21 minute-long film was released in 5 languages- Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) was officially renamed as the Prime Ministers’ Museum and Library (PMML) Society with effect from 14th August. Over the renaming of the museum, a row erupted between Congress and BJP. Congress lashed the Modi Government’s decision of changing the name of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library. While, BJP countered Congress’ attacks over renaming the museum. Earlier, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh had denounced the renaming of the museum. He had said that the government has a single point agenda of denying, distorting, defaming and destroying the Nehruvian legacy.
