A massive train accident took place near Ajmer today. Passengers sustained minor injuries after Sabarmati Express collided with a goods train on March 18. The incident occurred at midnight near Madar station in Ajmer district. However, no casualties have been reported so far in the incident. Several passengers sustained minor injuries and least four coaches and the engine of Sabarmati Express train got derailed. The reason behind the train derailment is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, the rescue teams and railway officials reached the incident spot. Due to the incident, several trains have been diverted to different routes. Watch video for more information.

A tragic train accident took place in Jharkhand's Jamtara on 28th February evening as a passenger train ran over 2 passengers at the Kalajharia railway station killing both of them. The Eastern Railway said the victims were walking on the track when they were run over by the Jhajha-Asansol Memu passenger train. Initial reports suggested the persons killed were passengers of Anga Express, running parallel to Memu passenger train, which stopped due to a fire call. The reports claimed that passengers deboarded the train and were run over the Memu train.According to the railway. Officials, the incident occurred at 7 pm and only two persons were killed.

Five people were injured after three coaches of Charminar Express got derailed at Nampally Railway Station in Hyderabad on January 10. The injured are undergoing treatment at the railway hospital. The Charminar Express Accident took place at around 9:15 am. Further details are awaited. “The incident took place at around 9:15 am. This Railway station is a terminal station where trains end. The train should have stopped before the end, however the train overshot. 3 coaches of the train got derailed in the incident. Around 5 people who stood near the doors of the train suffered minor injuries in the incident. They are being treated at the Railway Hospital,” said Ch Rakesh, CPRO, South Central Railway.

At least four people died after an Intercity Benapole Express train caught fire in Bangladesh’s Gopibagh. In response to the Andhra train accident, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw took stock of the situation from the war room in Delhi. The horrific train accident on Oct 29 in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagram district has jolted the nation. Notably, the death toll has mounted to 11, and at least 50 people were injured in the tragic accident. At least 4 persons died, over 70 were injured after 21 coaches of North East Express train derailed. The mishap took place near Raghunathpur Station in Buxar district of Bihar on October 11. However, the restoration work is still underway at the Raghunathpur Station in Bihar’s Buxar. Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey is present at ground zero. Notably, the train was going from Anand Vihar Terminal, Delhi to Kamakhya in Assam. Locals and district administrations rescued the passengers, and the critically injured were referred to AIIMS Patna. A special train was also arranged for the stranded passengers and they will be shifted to special train. The reason behind the incident will be investigated once the rescue operation is over.

An Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) train hailing from Shakurbasti met with an accident at Mathura Junction in Uttar Pradesh. The train suddenly left the track and climbed onto the platform. Fortunately, there were no passengers present on the train when this accident took place.
