Ajith in Tamil remake of Amitabh Bachchan-starrer PINK?

Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, and Kirti Kulhari starrer PINK, a courtroom drama Indian thriller, took the world by storm with its women-centric storyline. After gathering accolades from the critics and audience, the film is set to have its Tamil remake soon.

South star Ajith is likely to reprise the role of Amitabh Bachchan in the Tamil remake of Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's Pink (2016). The critically-acclaimed courtroom drama has been titled Thala 59. It is said that Boney Kapoor will produce this film.

Ajith has worked with numerous filmmakers, and the actor has given a nod to this budding director, H Vinoth. A leading Tamil magazine Vikatan re has also reported that H Vinoth had met Ajith to discuss the story. The superstar is impressed with the director's script. Not only this, he has also given a green signal to the project. The report further adds that the filmmaker had approached Ajith for his first movie Sathuranga Vettai, but the project didn't materialize for unknown some reasons then.

Some reports state that Ajith had liked H Vinoth's both the earlier movies like Sathuranga Vettai and Theeran Adhigaram Ondru. This was one of the factors which made Ajith give a nod to H Vinoth's movie, and both the films have received a great approach from the audience.

On the work front, Ajith is currently working on Siruthai Siva's next flick Viswasam, which has Nayanthara in the female lead role.
